~ Bestiary Entry

The Queensknight is a boss found within Central Shrine. She can attack in a variety of ways.

  • The Knight stops, then dashes across the arena.
  • The Knight swings once, from bottom to top (this catches behind her), then swings again from top-right to bottom-left, releasing a small wave that travels to the other side of the arena.
  • The Knight sets her spear down, then swiftly swings it from bottom to top.
  • The Knight jumps into the sky, and an arrow above the player will notify her of where she intends to land. Once the arrow turns white, the Knight will land in that spot, sending two waves to both sides of the arena.
  • The Knight jumps to one side of the arena, then spins her spear, causing the wind to push the player back. While doing this, multiple waves will slowly fly towards the player, alternating between high and low.

When the Knight loses 2/5ths of her health, she will become Empowered, and a few of her moves will change.

  • The Knight dashes from one side to the other at a rapid pace, with only small intervals in between each dash.
  • The Knight jumps into the sky, and a white arrow spawning above the player will show them where she will land. Upon the arrow's disappearance, she will hit that spot, causing two waves to both sides of the arena. She will repeat this 3 times.
  • The Knight jumps to one side of the arena, then spins her spear, causing a strong wind to push the player back. Multiple waves will fly swiftly towards the player, alternating between high and low.

When struck with the Energy Strike, she can drop the Spear Rune. Upon death, you will be able to access the Raindrop Sanctuary.

Appearance

The Queensknight is a knight, covered in armor. Her face is masked, and two purple outlines encircle the eyeholes of her mask. She wears a red hood, steel breastplate, and two gloves, armored at the wrist, but leaving the fingers open. Her legs are covered with leather, and she wears steel boots, alongside a red belt adorned with a turquoise piece in the middle, complete with a yellow line through the middle of the turquoise. The spear that she wields has a black staff, with a red crescent at the end, resembling a monk's spade.

Strategies

This boss is a fast fellow, but she has her own counterattacks as well:

  • She will have a cue before she dashes, which is when you get ready to either swing, dodge, or jump, depending on what you want to do. Swing if you want to Parry her attack, thus saving your dodges, dodge if your want to Riposte, dealing more damage, or jump if you don't want to do either of these. It is recommended to swing once she becomes Empowered, up until the last dash, where you dodge through and deal more damage. This saves your dodges for if you need them later, and allows you to continue dealing damage.
  • When the Knight swings, you can either parry the swing or stand back, then dodge through the wave she sends, gaining Riposte to deal more damage. This attack can hit behind the Knight, so be wary.
  • When the Knight jumps into the sky, wait until the arrow turns white, then walk away, dodge through the shockwave coming towards you to gain Riposte, and swing. This should work, even when she's Empowered.
  • When she starts to spin her spear, hug the wall she isn't at, then jump over the lower beams while not hitting the higher ones. It is not recommended to dodge through these unless absolutely necessary, because you won't be able to use your Riposte while she's spinning her spear.

Location

She guards the entrance to Raindrop Sanctuary, and is located on the bridge in Central Shrine, just after finding Mimi.

Bestiary Entry

The Queensguard were an order of female knights tasked with guarding Sumia, Queen of Ithos. Upon the Queen's untimely demise, the order continued to protect the places dearest to her. Even after the fall of the kingdom, and the knights themselves fell to Blight -- they stand, undeterred, forever loyal to their beloved Queen.
